As we move further into 2026, BNL continues to strengthen partnerships across the industry to help navigate the challenges being seen globally.
Through collaborative communication and shared goals, we have re-launched our newsletter to keep customers and partners informed on BNL’s ongoing innovation and customer support initiatives.
In each edition we will feature ‘bearing innovation’ giving an example of how BNL has engineered a bearing solution that has given real benefits, for example, improved quality, noise reduction, longevity, cost reduction or lightweighting. In this edition, we feature our work in shower door bearing engineering.
We plan to release our newsletter more regularly, keeping you up to date with our expanding capabilities, new product developments, and general company news.

BNL completes transition to Thailand as Global Manufacturing Hub
BNL has completed the transition of all manufacturing operations to Thailand, with BNL (Thailand) Limited now our primary global manufacturing facility as of January 2026.
This strategic move reflects our long-term commitment to supporting customers across the Asia-Pacific region and globally. As customer manufacturing has increasingly shifted towards this region, we have invested significantly in expanding capacity, improving supply chain efficiency, and enhancing service.

We have been preparing our Thailand facility for this transition for over fifteen years, continuously investing in the site, people, equipment, and systems as part of its journey towards becoming a state-of-the-art operation.
This transition is part of a long-term strategic direction for the business and provides BNL with a strong platform for future growth and global competitiveness, bringing together injection moulding, CNC machining, tooling, assembly, and maintenance under one roof. This enables us to support growing demand across key markets while maintaining consistent quality and reliable lead times.
Supported by our UK operation, which will now focus on its own transition towards becoming a centre of excellence for engineered bearing solutions and integrated product design, we continue to deliver high-quality, engineered plastic bearing solutions worldwide, backed by ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and IATF 16949 accreditations.
This transition also supports our sustainability goals by shortening supply chains, reducing transport requirements, and lowering overall carbon impact.

BNL delivers a bespoke bearing solution for a high-performance shower door system
At BNL, we have redesigned a fully bespoke bearing solution for a shower door roller system, demonstrating how our technical expertise, engineering and collaborative development can transform even the most familiar bearing applications.
Working in partnership with a shower door manufacturer, we engineered a solution that meets precise dimensional and performance requirements while remaining within the existing design envelope, allowing for seamless integration as a drop-in replacement.
While the application may appear simple, it is underpinned by BNL’s advanced engineering and highlights our approach: combining bearing expertise, precision engineering, and collaboration to deliver durable, high-quality solutions that perform effortlessly in everyday life.

BNL strengthen growth with the appointment of Joe Sylvia
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Joe Sylvia as Vice President of Sales USA, supporting our continued growth across the Americas.
Joe returns to BNL to lead sales across North and South America, bringing proven leadership and a strong understanding of both our business and our customers. His appointment reinforces our commitment to strengthening partnerships and delivering high-performance bearing solutions.
Having previously served as General Manager of BNL USA from 2008 to 2015, Joe brings a strong track record in developing markets and in-depth knowledge of our products.
In his new role, Joe will focus on expanding our presence across key markets, working closely with customers and our engineering team to enhance performance and reduce the total cost of ownership.
