As far back as 1990, BNL could see that the market and technology for business machines was changing. We could not, however, have imagined just what a key role our lightweight and cost effective plastic bearing solutions would play in the fortunes of the global industry leaders.
In 2004 we were named Plain Paper Copier “Supplier of the Year” by Ricoh UK Products Ltd, in addition to achieving “Class A Supplier” status for the third consecutive year – an award only achieved by suppliers who deliver 100% on time with zero defects.
Having worked in partnership with a variety of OEMs in the business machine industry over the years, we have a wealth of experience with applications from photocopiers and ATMs to mail handling and sorting machines.
Our custom-designed bearing assemblies, including drive rollers, idler rollers, toothed pulleys and belt tension pulleys, are found in the optical carriage unit drive mechanisms of the latest models of digital copier-printers. Producing documents at speeds of up to 65cpm, these machines require precise paper handling to achieve the optimum picture quality and to avoid annoying paper jams.
