The 23rd of June is International Women in Engineering Day 2021 #INWED – a day for celebrating all the women in engineering and related roles worldwide. The day, initiated by the Women’s Engineering Society, is now in its 8th year and as always, aims to raise the profile of engineering and related career options for all women – from those in school wondering about their further education, to those choosing a first step into the workforce post-education and those thinking of changing career path and pursuing a long held ambition.
Technical and engineering roles within BNL are complemented by specifically skilled manufacturing roles that are strongly related to STEM fundamentals. We have a mix of design engineering, product development, tooling design and manufacture, quality assurance and injection moulding amongst our technical employees.
At BNL we fully support all our female employees in their career choices and encourage further learning. We are proud to have many accomplished women working within the business and the 23rd June recognises the achievements and contribution of those in the engineering, manufacturing and STEM related roles within BNL and throughout industry. Below, some of our team discuss their background and aspirations as women in manufacturing and how we can encourage more women into the STEM and manufacturing industry.
Happy International Women in Engineering Day to women working in STEM and Manufacturing across the globe!
