BNL join dedicated membership group for Yorkshire’s manufacturing base

BNL have joined the Made in Yorkshire group, a membership group dedicated to promoting industry in the Yorkshire region and the British manufacturing sector as a whole. A sister group to the successful Made in Midlands group, Made in Yorkshire partners with OEMs, tier-one suppliers and SMEs in the Yorkshire region.
The Made in Yorkshire group works on behalf of members to build new business opportunities and long term partnerships, increasing the profile of the manufacturing sector in the region and sharing best practice. This is done via networking events, exhibitions, voicing members’ interests via digital and publishing channels and involvement in parliament, sitting on the All Party Parliamentary Manufacturing Group and promoting nation-wide campaigns on topics such as inclusivity.
Andrew Parker, Executive Director- Commercial, Legal and Financial, stated, “We are delighted to be involved in the Made in Yorkshire group and hope to work alongside other members in the region to proactively promote the innovative industries in Yorkshire to a national and global audience, to ensure the long-term success of manufacturing and engineering in the region.”
Made in Yorkshire
Made in Yorkshire was the first region outside of the Midlands which aimed to replicate the highly successful Made in the Midlands Campaign. The campaign existed to challenge the erosion of British industry through a succession of poor decisions by UK government and financiers, revolving around a pledge to open a channel of communication with local firms, take on apprentices and export to new markets.
Today Made in the Midlands and Made in Yorkshire are the fastest growing membership groups in the UK with more than 500 members. Made in Yorkshire works with some of the largest OEMs and tier-one suppliers and many of the Midlands and Yorkshire SME base.
